Neighborhood Shoreline CE Acquisition Project (14-1933) Extension Request Attachments: Fishery Pt Neighborhood Shoreline CE Aquisition Project (14-1933) Milestones - Proposed Extension (08-31-16).docx Mike – We would like to request an extension for the Fishery Pt. Neighborhood Shoreline CE Acquisition Project (14-1933) with an Agreement End Date/Final Report extension to June 30, 2017 and a Final Billing to RCO due September 30, 2017. Both the Burn Family and Kris Wernstedt have reaffirmed their desire to complete their Fishery Pt. Conservation Easements, but require additional time due to the following: Burn Trust Conservation Easement: The Burn Trust has requested extension of their Conservation Easement inland boundary to the treeline (from the 200 ft. line). As we have from the beginning urged them to include the entire sandflats in their conservation easement, we would like to be able to accommodate their request; however, it will require additional time to survey the inland boundary, revise the CE, reaffirm the appraisal, etc. Wernstedt Conservation Easement: Kris Wernstedt and his wife are out of the country (Tanzania) until early next summer and not in a position to complete the Conservation Easement until they get back in country. Mr. Wernstedt has reiterated his interest in completing the conservation easement upon his return. Attached is a proposed extension of Project Milestones. Please let me know if we can provide additional information or answer any questions. Thank you very much for consideration of our request, Debby _________________________ Debra Clausen, Conservation Director THE SAN JUAN PRESERVATION TRUST Box 759 Friday Harbor, WA 98250 Tel: 360.378.2461 Email: debbyc@sjpt.org Web: www.sjpt.org Please consider providing for the San Juan Preservation Trust in your will.
