    Project Description
One fish passage barrier culvert (Alder #1) will be replaced with a modular steel bridge to provide year-round fish passage to all species at all life stages. In addition to the barrier correction, the riparian area will be planted to restore and enhance habitat. Based on the Upper Columbia Regional Technical Team's project proposal reviews on August 18, 2006 the Chelan County Natural Resource Department has asked the Bureau of Reclamation to analyze Alder Creek Culvert #1 for the possibility of retrofitting this culvert. If a retrofit alternative is feasible, it will be sent to the funding source for review prior to implementation. A retrofit alternative would reduce the project cost.
